This collection was inspired by “Herutā Sukerutā”, a story about a woman’s vanity,

greed, hatred and despair. It’s beautiful and ugly, poignantly shallow, and all around

shows easily how at odds reality is with itself. The collection’s ruling color scheme is

different shades of red with elements taken from the story pretty on the outside, but

like a fruit the bugs have eaten from within. I was inspired to abstract the plot and

chaos and share them through my art. What do I want to say with my art? Celebrate

lives, stories, humans and the marks they make on the world.
